1. What are cookies?
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in the user's browser. Cookies make it easier to use and browse a website and are essential to how the internet works, bringing countless advantages to the provision of interactive services.
This website, Datcisions, uses cookies and/or similar technologies that store and retrieve information while you browse. In general, these technologies can serve very different purposes, such as recognising you as a user, obtaining information about your browsing habits, or personalising the way content is displayed.
2. Types of cookies we use
Below we describe the cookies used on our website by purpose, duration and the entity that manages them:
By the entity that manages them:
- First-party cookies: those sent to the user's device from equipment or a domain managed by the publisher itself, from which the service requested by the user is provided.
- Third-party cookies: those sent to the user's device from equipment or a domain that is not managed by the publisher but by another entity that processes the data obtained through the cookies (for example, Google Analytics, social networks, etc.).
By purpose:
- Technical or necessary cookies: those that allow the user to browse a website and use the different options or services it offers. They are essential for the site to work.
- Preference or personalisation cookies: they remember information so that the user accesses the service with certain predefined features, such as language, browser type, regional settings, etc.
- Analytics or measurement cookies: they allow whoever is responsible for them to monitor and analyse the behaviour of users of the websites they are linked to. The information collected is used to measure activity and build browsing profiles.
- Behavioural advertising cookies: they store information about user behaviour obtained by continuously observing their browsing habits, which makes it possible to build a specific profile to show advertising based on it.
